SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY

Scanning Electron Microscopy

By: Valdemir Mota de Menezes, the Scribe.

The SEM is much more "simple" than the transmission. The SEM has a smaller cylinder and can fill any room without the need for special care. The difference between electronic microscopy is that here, we obtain a three-dimensional image of the material, the piece is treated with gold salts and electrons instead of going through the material combine with gold salts generating a three-dimensional image is basically a large scanner.
